Hello again,
It’s been a little while since my last post. I have been keeping pretty busy. January brought work, rain and back to working out. I am still working in the world of post at Hell’s Kitchen. I am the online assistant and I have been enjoying it for the most part. Working nights (7 p.m. to 5 a.m.) for 7 months starts to wear on a person after a while. But I work with awesome people and it is nice to know where the next paycheck will be coming from for a while. January in LA was quite rainy. They say we got more rain in one week this year then we did the entire previous year. I didn’t have any problems, mostly because I don’t live up in the hills. The most annoying thing is that traffic is worse then usual because half the people out here don’t know how to drive in the rain and the other half are still trying to do 90 mph. Luckily my commute is pretty short now.
Getting back to LA I was most exciting to start working out again. I definitely felt both the kraft table at HK and the holidays. I ate too much! I have started back up with running with friends on the weekend. We are training for another half marathon in August and a couple of shorter 10k races around southern California. I am also ice skating and hiking once a week. It had been a while since I had been ice skating and forgot how much I enjoy it. And I am enjoying my hike because every once in a while i get to see this guy.
He is Nathan Fillion. He was an actor on the shows Firefly, Buffy and 2 Guys and a Girl to name a few. We haven’t talked to the guy yet, but perhaps sometime in the near future.
The other “new” thing for the new year was to get a pet. My friend Gigi insisted that I could handle fish. I do not have a great track record with fish, but was excited to try to change that. So January 19th we went to the store and picked out 2 fish. I named them Nick and Nora. (If you know me you probably get the joke.) Things were going great. Until tonight. Nick didn’t make it. Poor guy. I just don’t know what the heck happened. I will probably try to get a couple of more fish and see if THEY can make it more then a month. If not… I may have to give up on having a pet for a while. I’ll keep you posted!
