Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope the ‘08 is treating you great. I also hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Mine was very, very busy but good. The beginning of December I worked a lot. Between finishing up on the production of Hell’s Kitchen and starting up in post production of the same show, I ended up working 10 hours a day for 13 days straight. The first weekend of my “new” job I flew home for an early Christmas with the family. It was a quick trip, but very fun. I was glad we were able to get the whole family together even if it wasn’t actually Christmas day. It felt like it and that’s what matters! I flew back to LA for a week more of work and then back to Minnesota on Christmas eve for a white Christmas. Really white. They have a LOT of snow there this year! I was also able to put on a lot of miles driving all over the state to see friends from high school and college. I stopped in to visit my old stomping grounds of Lakeland Public Television. Most people were on vacation, but I was able to see some old faces and a couple of new ones. I rang in the new year in the Twin Cities hanging out with some friends from college. It was a quiet, but very good way to start the new year. I am now back in LA, back at work. My wonderful 7pm to 5am shift. Wooohoo! I mentioned to my roommate today that it will be good to get back to a normal schedule and she replied, “What’s normal about working 7 to 5?” Good point Kirsten, good point. But I am glad to be back. I am excited to get back into running and hiking and other outdoor activities. I start training this weekend for a couple of half marathons I plan to run later in the year. I will try to post pictures from my holiday outings later this week so be sure to check back. Happy New Year and stay in touch!
